Kuching, 24th April 2025 – The Sarawak Rivers Board (SRB) held a meeting with KKB Engineering Berhad and Jurutera Jasa (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd to discuss the Marine Traffic Risk Assessment (MTRA) requirements for the Lawas Jetty Project.
The purpose of the engagement was to seek guidance from SRB regarding the MTRA study for the proposed Lawas Jetty Project, which involves the construction of a 1,140-meter-long jetty extending into the sea. The jetty will be equipped with two berths to facilitate barge operations. Supporting infrastructure includes a jetty abutment, an access road, and a materials laydown area.
SRB was represented by Mr. Leonard Luhat Laing (Administrative Officer), Mdm. Phlomina Chura (Marine Officer), Mr. Johnny Kok (Engineer), and Mr. Arnaud Lesley anak Alis (Assistant Engineer). KKB Engineering Berhad was represented by Mr. Daniel A.S. Hamizan (General Manager), Mr. Dominic Laah (Senior General Manager), and Mr. Jasper. The project consultant, Ir. Terence Chin, attended on behalf of Jurutera Jasa (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd.
