22nd April 2026 – The Sarawak River Board (SRB) received a courtesy visit from PETROS Kuching.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Leo Nanang, representing Controller of SRB, and was attended by SRB officers.

The discussion focused on the “Petros Kuching Low-Carbon Hub” project, which involves submarine cable installation works. PETROS sought technical input and clarification from SRB, particularly in relation to navigational safety considerations and regulatory requirements within the affected riverine and waterway areas.

SRB welcomed the engagement as a strategic platform for collaboration, ensuring that infrastructure development projects are implemented in an orderly and safe manner, while maintaining compliance with navigational safety requirements within Sarawak’s waterways.
