
22nd April 2026 – The Sarawak River Board (SRB) received a courtesy visit from SPX Aids to Navigation Pty Ltd (SEALITE).
The delegation was led by Mr. Jordon Holcomb, SEALITE Regional Sales Manager, accompanied by Mr. Lawrence Pok, Business Development Manager (Marine – Asia). The delegation was received by Lt. Col. Ding Tiew Wong (Rtd), together with SRB officers.
The visit aimed to strengthen strategic collaboration in the field of Aids to Navigation (AtoN) and to exchange views on the latest technological developments in maritime navigational safety management. The discussion also highlighted the introduction of next-generation IoT-based platforms for real-time digital monitoring of AtoN assets, enabling enhanced situational awareness and operational efficiency.
In addition, the delegation presented and introduced SABIK solutions as part of an integrated smart navigation system, offering advanced capabilities for remote monitoring, data-driven decision-making, and improved reliability of navigational aids. These innovations are expected to further enhance the safety and efficiency of waterways within Sarawak.
SRB values the engagement and looks forward to further strengthening the cooperation between both parties in the future, towards ensuring a more efficient and safe management of maritime navigation.
