On August 6,2015, Sarawak Rivers Board held a river traffic safety awareness campaign program at SK Sawai,Daro. The 2-day program focused on basic training on life saving techniques in the river. SRB chairman, Dr. Murni Suhaili also distributed life jacket to the residents of Sawai village. Also at the ceremony were the Political Secretary for Chif Minister, Haji Kenil B. Haji Jeraiee, KK kampung Sawai, Mr. Philip Amit, Headmaster SK Sawai Mr. Buang Mahruf, Deputy Controller Mr. Teo Swee Ann, Assistant Controller Region 2, Sibu Mr. Christopher Chan Ah Man, local communities and SRB staf.
